Look Out for Adobe PDF Vulnerability

May 16
2010

I don’t normally warn users about infected software — About.com has a great site for that — but in this case, it’s a situation that needs to be highlighted. It concerns an attack through the Adobe PDF Reader, that most Windows users, all the way back to Windows 95, rely on to read certain documents.

Computerworld reported on this vulnerability, and its seriousness. I would urge everyone to read the story and take the appropriate steps to protect your PC. I think there’s no doubt that Adobe is becoming the avenue of choice for hackers who want your data and computer. It’s time for Adobe to rebuild its PDF products from the ground up.

Don’t mess around with this, folks. Keep vigilant and safe.
